We are a well-established digital agency based in the beautiful surroundings of Blisworth, Northamptonshire. Over the past few years, we have experienced a real and sustained growth period with both, our existing clients and new clients coming on board.

Clear Vertical is a ‘performance-first’ digital agency – designing and building complex WordPress websites for an exciting mix of brands, businesses and organisations. Once a site is developed, our teams offer a tailored solution to the client ensuring that we delivered on our performance-first promise, delivering results that matter to them. We’re data driven, so the right candidate needs to show a passion for diving into the numbers behind digital activities and enthusing over improving results continually.

The role and responsibilities

We take the view that every member of our team is key to our continued success. We are looking for someone who ideally has already had exposure to ‘agency life’ for at least a couple of years and has gained hands on experience of working on live client accounts with a drive to learn a variety of skills across a range of daily, weekly and monthly activities.

We’re looking for someone who is looking to progress their career, someone who is hard working, asks questions to improve themselves and the results we achieve for our clients.

In SEO, things adapt and change regularly and we are looking for someone who is able to adapt to these changes and be ahead of the curve. ‘Agency life’ is dynamic and exciting, dealing with multiple clients across a wide range of industries excites us and should excite you. Here’s an overview of some of the activities you would work on:

Lead on SEO strategy with a clear plan
Assisting in delivering SEO campaign strategy
Ensuring continuous SEO best practice for client websites
Conducting regular thorough keyword research
Conducting in-depth technical audits
Reviewing competitor technical SEO activity
Making on-site optimisations through WordPress and on occasion other CMS platforms
Production of monthly performance reports for clients and to internal management
Monitoring rankings and analytics data on a daily basis
Optimisation of landing pages and blog content
Using the data to carry out conversion rate optimisation (CRO)
Assisting in delivery of PPC campaigns
Providing SEO insight in client meetings and internally
Management of some full campaigns

The person we are looking for must have

Worked in and agency for at least two years
A solid understanding of SEO principles
An understanding of the latest algorithm updates
An understanding of the role of content in SEO success
Ability to understand data and convert that into actions
Results oriented and happy to take ownership of own projects and work as part of a team
The ability to work on your own initiative and be proactive
Ability to prioritise and manage workload alongside multiple deadlines
Some exposure to communication with clients, both in writing and in person/ Zoom
Experience in using a variety of Google tools and SEO tools
The ability to produce reports, analyse them and present them both in written reports and in person/ Zoom
At least some experience in making changes to websites through WordPress or similar CMS platforms
Excellent time management
A driving licence and access to a vehicle

The below are skills or experience that would be an advantage to have

Some experience in PPC campaigns
Exposure to light content work
Knowledge of HMTL, CSS, Javascript

What we offer in return

A competitive salary: Between £25,000 – £30,000, but is subject to experience and knowledge

Bonus: Quarterly and annual bonus structure will be added after a successful 6-month probationary period.

Holiday: Starting with 20 days holiday per year plus bank holidays, this increases with service.

Location: With offices set in a beautiful rural location with views over a lake and surrounding countryside. The office is based just 15 minutes from Northampton Town Centre and 20 minutes from Central Milton Keynes. We currently are working remotely with this due to change in line with government guidelines. However, the role would enable you to work remotely for a minimum of 2 days per week after an initial training period.
